I can sum up this album in two words “FREAKIN’ BRUTAL!!!”  Advent’s sophomore album does not disappoint.  They followed up a great rookie release “Remove the Earth” with an even more brutal album.  Advent is “in your face” metalcore not only with their instruments but also with their lyrics.  This band is not ashamed to let you know what they believe.  I was really excited about this release.  I pre-ordered the album but due to some mix up at the store, I got the album two weeks after it was released.  It was well worth the wait.

Austrian punk band Law Found Guilt have just released their latest album ”Me Decade” in the UK  on LockJaw Records (14th September) and will later be released in Scandinavia through Black Star Foundation on 6th of November. These guys are not something you think you’d find from a country who’s mostly famous because of Mozart. Times are changing though and Law Found Guilt has yet again put the spotlight on to Austria and this time it’s not classical music that is getting the country known; it is the punk rock genre.

Finally an HC/Punk band that actually sounds HC/Punk!  Way Down is probably a little more HC than Punk.  While Way Down may not be remaking the HC/Punk genre, they are definitely a welcome addition to a genre that is becoming overtaken by teenybopper bands.  Way Down definitely has a sound that makes you want to jump in the pit and hurt some people.

Best Song: 2 O´Clock Wake Up Call

The Jim Ivins Band is like a road down the memorylane of 2003 (or abit earlier) before all those wierd music sub-genres started flowing in and making it all confusing – some what making music more interesting but still very, very, very confusing. I mean what does alternative-abitient-neo/punk mean anyway? Back in early 00´s rock was rock and soft rock meant exactly what that band is all about.

The Fall Of Troy is full of surprises. Probably the biggest surprise the listener will have is the virtuosity of their music. But their latest “In The Unlikely Event“ holds more than simply amazing music.
