I discovered this band through a friend-request on myspace actually. Usually these friend-requests doesn’t come from bands that are very good, but I tend to give everyone a chance anyway, which in this case was a very smart move.

The easiest way to describe this band’s music would be to use the word beautiful, and when you realize that these guys are just in their 20’s, and that this is their debut-release, you almost get just as amazed as by the music itself. I was almost stunned when I heard these guys for the first time, and it’s very rare that I get that feeling from listening to a for me previously unknown band.

This is the sort of record that’s perfect for just closing your eyes to, lean back and let the music do it’s magic. Weaver at the Loom takes the listener through enormous audial landscapes of emotions, the music is very harmonious and works perfect together with the awesome vocals. Sometimes it reaches levels where it becomes more than just music and more like an experience, which I think is the main thing that makes this EP so great. Few albums manage to touch me like this one does, and the music keeps growing more and more as you continue to listen to it.

One of the strongest efforts of 2008, this debut shows a band that I do not doubt will grow and become something truly fantastic, which they in fact almost already are. I’m looking forward to see what these guys will create in the future, sure it will be something great. This is, simply put, a great debut from a band that’s more than promising.
