When i first received RQTN’s ep “We are… We are” i was impressed. I fell for his simple melodies and crescending drum lines. He presents his music through the images of World War II, black and white photos of people and soldiers. He expresses it through the emotions of a soldier. There are alot of emotions that images and the music can give you, i mean World War II was one of the most violent events in last century. And the effect he gives you is partly thanks to the story of the war. I think the idea itself is brilliant, and interesting. Songs are mostly simple and they work out good, but after listening to this 5-track album i must ask maybe it’s too simple?
